downtown greenville with more. aly: good morning. it's quiet here now. that will not be the case at 8:00 tonight. it will be much busier. the cigar w wehouse is right across from fluor field. cnn is hosting back-back republican town halls in the area tonight, and anderson cooper is set to moderate both events. tonight's event in greenville features ben carson, ted cruz and marco rubio. the town hall will air live on cnn. it will also stream online. the candidates will have the chance to answer questions from palmetto state voters. again it starts at 8:00 tonight, right here at the old cigar warehouse in downtown greenville. cnn will also host a town hall tomorrow night in columbia, featuring jeb bush, john kasich, and donald trump. aly myles wyff news 4. myra: thank you. also happening tonight, the

presidential forum in spartanburg. it's at 6:00 p.m. at first baptist north spartanburg. ben carson and ted cruz are expected to take part in that forum. both also have big days on the trail today. before the faith and freedom forum, senator ted cruz will be in seneca for a meet and greet. it's at the seneca family restaurant at noon. then he'll head to spartanburg for a rally at 4:45 at oakbrook preparatory school. senator ted cruz spoke at the anderson civic senator last -- center r st night. the presidential hopeful laid out plans for his administration, including the type of judge he would nominate for the supreme court. >> i am the only person on that stage who has spent his entire adult life fighting to defend the constitution and the bill of rights, and i give you my word every justice i put on the , supreme court will be a constitutionalist who will defend our rights. myra: cruz plans on remaining here on election day when the

geoff: also today doctor ben , carson will tour the greenwood genetics center this afternoon. greenwood genetics is a nonprofit that provides care for families impacted by genetic disease and birth defects. the tour is expected to begin at 2:45. we traveled with ben carson on his bus yesterday. he made campaign stops in roebuck, gaffney and the cherokee county sheriff's officece on his bus, carson told us he will stay in the race even if he doesn't do well in saturday's primary. >> what determines what happens for me is the support that i have from we the people. we have extremely strong social media support across the country. we have strong fundraising across the country. as long as the people continue to want me to push forward and continue to support my efforts, there's absolutely no reason for me to drop out. geoff: carson told us as president, he would fix

myra: today, donald trump is in the lower part of the state. but yesterday, he stopped by the wyff news 4 studios. he talked about how he'll look back on this part of his life as a candidate for president. honestly, it's been an amazing period of time, but if i didn't win and be able to affectuate these changes that are gonna make life better for people and lower the taxes for the middle income people who are getting killed and also for business which is leaving the country, we have the highest tax rate in the world and businesses are pfizer big companies are leaving the , country, then i would consider it pretty much a waste of time. myra: trump's south carolina headquarters is in downtown greenville, and his team says he will be in south carolina all week heading into saturday's primary. for a full list on where the candidates will be today, go to our wyff4 mobile app. governor nikki haley may not endorse anyone ahead of

geoff: a former nfl player who competed in the superbowl came back to visit his alma mater. shaun ellis used to play for the new york jets and the new england patriots. he was back at westside high in anderson yesterday as part of the super bowl 50 celebration. high schools across the country were given a golden football for every player or head coach who graduated from the school and was on an active super bowl roster. >> it means a lot to be able to come back to school and see all the faces that helped you get to where you are today. geoff: ellis's former principal and coach were there along with the school's current students faculty and staff. -- students, faculty and staff. the nfl started the super bowl high school honor roll program to acknowledge schools and communities that have directly influenced super bowl history and impacted the game for the better. myra: one of the upstate's biggest festivals will return to downtown greenville this spring. artisphere 2016 is scheduled for may 13 through 15. this year 135 artists will , display and sell their work along main street. they chose this group out of
